Message and Communication Review

Would it be nice if we could find out what people are searching for before we created a website or started a marketing campaign?

What would it be like to know that there are enough people searching for what you do to be worth your advertising to them on Google?

Everybody says we have to have a Facebook page or a blog, but how will that help your company be found?

Would it make sense to know how you are going to use your website in your marketing efforts before you build it?

This is what a message and communication review will do for you.  First, we discover your authentic message then we look around at all of the marketing options out there both online and offline, and find the ones that are in alignment with your message and who you are, and we also compare our recommendations with what you are already doing.

Google will tell us what people are searching for and how many people are doing those searches each month.  This means we can know what people are looking for and if there are enough searches to bring us business.

Figuring out what the Google numbers mean for your specific business, is something we put into your message and communication review.

The message part of the review is based on the premise that an authentic presentation, of your company, and what you do, using strong language that people connect with, will bring you business.  Business owners often see this when they use phrases like, “They were not interested when I first told them what I do, but if I get a chance to explain it to them they usually buy”.  Why does this happen?  Because they got to know the REAL you.

We do this by consulting with you to get your passion, the services or products you offer (which many business owners think are their benefits), and we then work with you to find the life changing benefits you bring.  This is powerful  because often people search for what you do, but buy the emotion of the life changing benefits.

We then take your passion, plus what you do, and the life changing benefits we come up with and go to Google and see if any of it is being searched for and what phrases people are using.

Then based on the results we create a marketing recommendation document and include some of the keywords that illustrate what we found.  Some businesses Google adwords may be a good option, others social media is where your money should go, others flyers and door hangers, others personal introductions and networking is where the money is.  However, most of my customers have some combination of the above.  We have been able to get clients listed on the first page of Google based on website content alone without spending any money on SEO.

We then meet with you and go over what was found and make recommendations and we then decide what next steps make sense for you.  Often at this point we have established what your website theme and content are going to be, and what your website is even going to look like because we know what message we want to communicate. And offline types of marketing that will be used such as flyers, business cards, etc.

In many ways, counseling and marketing do not play nicely with each other. The subject of mental illness in particular is not something people enjoy talking about, let alone Googling.
